KATHMANDU: The contempt of court petition against Kathmandu Metropolitan City Chief Balendra Shah (Balen) is being heard in the bench of Supreme Court Judge Prakash Kumar Dhungana.
In the court of Judge Dhungana, the petition against Shah has been placed at number seven in the list of hearings. Earlier on Sunday, the hearing in Judge Dhungana's courtroom was postponed due to lack of time.
Advocate Varshakumari Jha filed a petition in the Supreme Court demanding that Balen made contempt of court statements. A hearing is about to be held on the petition.
Advocate Jha claims that the statement given by the Chief of Kathmandu Metropolitan Shah regarding the order of Patan High Court on the matter of Hindi film is contempt of the court.
