Kathmandu: A son has killed his mother in Sunwal Municipality-13 of West Nawalparasi. Local 50-year-old Buddhirani Musahar was killed by her 25-year-old son Shivakumar.
Bhojraj Pandey, Information Officer of District Police Office West Nawalparasi, said that son Shivakumar killed his mother by stabbing her in the neck with a sharp weapon during a family dispute. The police said that Musahar died on the spot after being hit in the neck by the weapon and the son of the assailant ran away to Rupandehi.
Shivkumar, who escaped after killing his mother, has been arrested while hiding in Gaidahwa Rural Municipality-8 Mainahawa of Rupandehi. According to the police, an investigation has been started against Shivakumar in the case of duty killing.
