Not only this, it can also help in controlling blood pressure and diabetes. Actually, Joha rice is being cultivated on the Garo Hills of Assam for centuries. Recent research has claimed that unsaturated fatty acids Omega 6 and Omega 3 are found in Joha rice, which is very beneficial for diabetes patients. Apart from this, nutraceutical properties are also found in it.

Zoha Rice of Assam has got the GI (Geographical Indication) tag. This tag is a symbol given to a product for being from its region of origin.
